Using our website
This site is designed as a platform for individuals committed to their own health and fitness, to follow a world-class strength and conditioning program and through constant monitoring and 'scoring', refine and improve it. We have gone to great lengths to create an online logbook that functions in conjunction with the daily workouts. The purpose of this is to monitor your own progress, against others, over time and against yourself. We are committed to results and by measuring it, we can better our program to improve your results. By clicking on 'Home', once you've logged in, you will be able to view all the workouts that you have posted comments to. This is a personal logbook of all your achievements.
WARNING: These workouts are designed for elite athletes and are very difficult, but are at the same time scalable to your own level of fitness. If you are not familiar with the movements, then take the time to learn them properly before adding intensity. Begin light and begin slowly. Break the high repetition workouts into more manageable parts. Make the Workout of the Day (WOD) a habit. Consistency is the key. Then after a month, start adding intensity. If you run into difficulties, want to get a trainer/coach or start with a small group class, then Contact Us. We are keen to work with anyone committed to their health and fitness.
How do I post & track my progress?
Daily throughout the week, there will be a Workout of the Day (WOD) posted on the main page. The WOD’s will vary, challenging various aspects of your fitness. The structure of the program will seem almost random in nature and it is our intention for it to be like that. What is important for yourself and the efficacy of this program, is that you monitor your progress.
When posting your results and comments, state whether it was as prescribed "rx'd" (done as set out in the WOD, or whether you had to scale the weight or intensity). If you had to scale the workout, there will be space for you to indicate how. You can add any comments regarding the workout. What was the most difficult exercise, what aspect of your fitness is lacking, what needs improving, what has improved, anything that will keep you moving towards your goals.
The program calls for 5 days (weekdays) of training and 2 days (weekend) of rest. If initially you require rest during the week, take it. If you have other sport specific training during the week, then adjust this program to fit into your schedule and rest periods. In order to get the full benefits of the program, it is recommended to follow the 5 days on, 2 days off cycle.
